Online therapy offers the same meaningful, evidence-based support as traditional in-person therapy, delivered through a secure video platform from wherever you are most comfortable. Before your first appointment with us, you'll will receive a private link to join your session from any device with a camera and internet connection. From there, you and your therapist will connect face to face, just as you would in an office setting. All sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform, so your privacy and confidentiality are fully protected every step of the way.
Many insurance plans cover online therapy in New York, and coverage has expanded significantly in recent years. That said, benefits vary depending on your specific plan and provider. We recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card to ask whether online therapy is included in your plan.
If you have questions about your coverage, we're happy to help you understand your benefits before your first session. Book online or give us a call.
Online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. In many cases, clients find that the comfort and convenience of virtual sessions actually enhances their experience. There is no commute, no waiting room, and no need to step into an unfamiliar space before you are ready.
What makes therapy work is the relationship between you and your therapist, and that connection can be built just as meaningfully through a screen as it can in person.
Your privacy is something we take very seriously. All sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, meaning your video, audio, and personal health information are fully encrypted and protected at all times. We never record sessions without your explicit consent, and your information is never shared without your permission except where required by law. On your end, we encourage you to choose a private location where you're not likely to be interrupted or overheard.
Getting started is simple. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera, microphone, and a reliable internet connection. Make sure you take your sessions in a private space where you feel comfortable speaking openly and aren't likely to be interrupted. Whether that's a cozy corner of your home, a parked car, or private office, the most important thing is that you feel at ease.
Therapy is important for more than just moments of crisis, it is a space for anyone who wants to better understand themselves, work through something difficult, or build new skills. You do not need to be at a breaking point to deserve support.
If you're feeling anxious or stuck, navigating a transition in your life, feeling imposter syndrome, or anything else, therapy can offer clarity, relief, and a path forward. Our free consultation is a wonderful first step. Book online or give us a call, and we'll help you decide if online therapy is right for you.
This happens more often than it might seem, but it doesn't mean therapy can't work for you. Usually, it's just that the fit wasn't quite right, which can be frustrating. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in therapy, and developing that relationship can take time. We'll work to understand what has and hasn't worked for you in the past so we can best tailor our approach.
